The Mini Punto Banco is a card game where you can bet for Banco or Punto, while trying to reach 9 points with two or three cards.
One can also bet, apart from Banco or Punto, about Equal or Draw. In that case, the winning bet will be paid 8×1. Mini Punto Banco is played with six 52-card French decks, one half of one color and the other half of the other.
The cards value corresponds to their number value; face cards and 10 lack any value, so they add to zero. Tens are disregarded for adding points, for instance: 8+6 = 14 = 4.
The payment table is paired, except when the bank wins with a 6, then one half is paid.
HOW IS IT PAID?
The objective of the game is trying to reach 9 points with two or three cards, or trying to reach the score which gets closer to 9.
First, the dealer shuffles the cards and lets any of the players cut the deck. Once cards are put into the Sabot or Shoe, then the dealer takes out one visible card, then he removes as many cards as the number of the card shown.
Next, players will place their bets on the corresponding squares, depending on their choice to bet for Punto or Banco, or else for Equal or Draw.
Next, the dealer will uncover 4 cards on the table; the first and the third cards on his right will represent Punto, while the second and the fourth on his left will represent Banco.
The winning option, that is, Punto or Banco, will be the one closest to 9. In case any of the bets adds to 8 or 9 points with the first two cards, then the play is over. In case they add to 5 or less than 5, it’s mandatory to draw a third card (please see table), and then the option which is closest to 9 wins. In case of a draw between both options, then the bets placed on Equal or Draw win.
